## Abstract Lithiumaluminiumhydrid eignet sich gut zur reduktiven Aufspaltung bestimmter Steroid‐epoxyde. In den untersuchten Fällen verlief die Hydrierung sterisch einheitlich und eröffnete damit erstmals einen präparativ günstigen Weg zur Bereitung von Derivaten des 5‐Oxy‐koprostans.
