Abstract
A gas phase isotope exchange reaction has been found to occur between nitric oxide and nitrite esters, RO^15^NO + ^14^NO RO^14^NO + ^15^NO. The reaction is first order with respect to both nitrite ester and nitric oxide. For the reaction with trifluoroethyl nitrite, the second order rate constant is given by the equation
