## Abstract A spectrochemical method for the assay of ω‐nitroarginine in synthetic peptides is described. It is based on the strong difference in absorption of the nitroarginyl residue in the two solvents dimethylformamide (DMF)/0,2N HCl (1:1; __v__/__v__) and anhydrous trifluoroacetic acid (TFA).
