✦ Synopsis
A m a t h e m a t i c a l solution is given of some thermotechnical problems, which deal with the cooling down or heating up of composed walls, consisting of parallel layers of different materials whether or not divided b y air.
P a r t i c u l a r l y the changing with the time of the distribution of the t e m p e r a t u r e is described by this theory.
Compared with the graphical method of S c h m i d t, the new solution has the a d v a n t a g e of the exactness of the m a t h e m a t i c a l solutions.
On the other side a p p l y i n g the graphical method one has the possibility to reckon with the dependence on the t e m p e r a t u r e of the t h e r m a l properties of the different materials.
By an example, takeri from the literature, the degree of inexactness of the graphical method is d e m o n s t r a t e d .
