✦ Synopsis

The SLi nucleus was produced by the reaction 7Li(d, p)SLi. The half-life of the fl-decay aLi --~ S'Be was measured by observing the or-particles from the disintegration aBe --~ 20t, which follows the fl-decay in about 10 -23 s. The or-activity was recorded for ten half-lives of aLi by semiconductor detectors. The influence of background and disturbing reactions was investigated.

The results are Tt = 0.84404-0.0007 s, log fti = 5.66.
