## Abstract The kinetics of precondensation of ethylene glycol with the dicarboxylic acids: oxalic, malonic, succinic, glutaric, adipic, and pimelic acid was investigated. The course of the reaction was followed by weighing the reaction water. The final rate equation was found to be of 6th order.
