✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [CuCl 2 (C 11 H 24 N 2 )], crystallizes as fourcoordinate monomers with distorted square-planar geometry. The complex is chiral and forms racemic crystals. Molecules which have an S-con®guration at nitrogen have a !conformation of the ®ve-membered chelate ring, and those with R-con®guration have a -conformation. The title compound forms in®nite one-dimensional chains via weak intermolecular ClÁ Á ÁHÐC hydrogen contacts.
