✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [ZnBr~2~(C~13~H~19~ClN~2~O)], is a mononuclear Schiff base zinc(II) complex. The Zn atom in the compound is four-coordinated by one imine N and one phenolate O atom of the Schiff base ligand and by two terminal bromide anions in a tetrahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intermolecular N—H...O and C—H...Br hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
