Abstract

Low molecular weight alkanes, e.g. 3,7‐dimethylnonane, with two asymmetric carbon atoms are suitable models for the assignment of the configurational splitting in the ^13^C NMR spectrum of the alternating copolymer from ethylene and propylene, poly(1‐methyltetramethylene).
