✦ Synopsis
The structure of the title compound, [ZnCl 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]Á-C 12 H 24 O 6 ÁH 2 O, contains the Zn atom with tetrahedral geometry and two coordinated water molecules linked to two 18-crown-6 macrocycles (residing on inversion centres) by O-HÁ Á ÁO interactions. A water molecule of crystallization further links the metal salt and one of the crown ether macrocycles.
