โฆ Synopsis
Elphtck, ProMinent Fluid Controls (UIO and Michael Rummer, ProMinent GmbH discuss the latest in metering pump technology and how solenoid driven diaphragm metering p u m p s are becoming increasingly popular for dosing hazardous chemicals.
M e t e r i n g p u m p s are w i d e l y used in m a n y processes ranging from w a t e r and effluent treatm e n t to dosing of additives in the chemical, food, p h a r m a c e u t i c a l and many other industries. Most m e t e r i n g p u m p s w o r k on the same basic principle: a defined volume of liquid is taken up by the return stroke of a piston, and expelled into the dosing line by the discharge stroke. The p u m p capacity is d e t e r m i n e d by the size of the up-take wflume and the frequency of the dosing strokes in a specified time period.This results in a continuous, precise, and even dosing process, even w h e n back pressures fluctuate.
