After being brutally dumped, freelance designer Ellie Rookwood has shut herself off to being hurt again. After all, she's happy with just her sweet greyhound Bella for company. But when a stray dog attacks her faithful companion, all Ellie can think about is rushing to the nearest vet. The last thing on her mind is the thought of meeting the woman who can save her dogand her heart.

After a series of failed relationships, veterinarian Harika Knowles has nearly given up on finding her soulmate. When Ellie runs into her clinic with a severely injured greyhound, Harika can't resist the aloof, tattooed woman.
