## Abstract The application of variable number of tandem repeat (VNTR) markers to the determination of twin zygosity was investigated. In the first case, which was performed with the use of six VNTR markers, the probability of monozygosity, calculated from Essen‐MΓΆller's formula II, was 0.99972. In
