โฆ Synopsis
The hexaethyltriamide of phosphorous acid activated by the addition of iodine was used as a phosphorylating reagent to synthesize diacetone-D-glucosyl-3-O-(N,N-diethylamido)-thiophosphates of cholesterol, lff-sitosterol, stigmasterol, ergosterol and 7dehydrocholesterol in a one-pot procedure in overall yields of 81--86ยฐ70. The compounds are a new model of phospholipid structures in which, in addition to a carbohydrate and a phosphagen fragment, a steroid moiety and a biologically important element different from oxygen are bonded to phosphorus.
