During cyclic deJormation of nickel single crystals at 78 K, a wall-like structure develops up to the saturation stage over the entire specimen volume. Nevertheless, the observation of persistent slip markings on the surface indicates that the plastic deformation is non-homogeneous. A more detailed study shows spatial differences in the walllike structure.
