โฆ Synopsis
Although nunierous articles have been published on development of the sympathetic nervous system, comparatively few have dealt with the cranial sympathetic ganglia in manirnals. Foremost among the more recent investigators are Broiriari ( '11), Streeter ( ' l Z ) , Ganfini ( 'lS), Stewart ( 'ZO), Kuntz ('20) and Mihiilik ( '40). Of these, only Ganfini ( '18) used a complete series of specimens stained by a suitable silver-impregnation technique. He studied Cajal-stained pig and guinea pig embryos. MihAlik ( '40) employed rabbits prepared by the Davenport method for his examination of the ciliary ganglion, but it should be noted that this stain was
