An adaptive control strategy for vehicle exhaust noise reduction considering acceleration characteristics is presented, and its simulation analysis system is developed in order to e$ciently examine the performance of the proposed control approach. The simulation system, which is implemented with the

โฆ Synopsis
Single pipes used in a conventional vehicle exhaust system are not enough to reduce exhaust noise to a satisfactory level, especially at high frequencies. Double pipes are e!ective for reducing noise, but still not enough, and they are heavy. The new method, &Braided Wire Damper', is an exhaust pipe partly wrapped with braided wire net. Proposed here is the use of &Braided Wire Damper' and it is found to be very e!ective for reducing not only the noise but also the weight of the exhaust system.

Mean intensity based active control for the cancellation of radiated noise out of the duct exit is studied. The active intensity control strategy is derived based on the relation of the exterior sound field radiated out of the duct termination and the interior sound field of the duct. One of the cha

This paper concerns a low-pass filtering method for evaluating the visibility of shapes. With this method, observers discriminate the shapes of images that are filtered in gradually lower spatial frequencies. Legibility is evaluated by measuring the discrimination threshold cut-off frequencies. The
humidity and the human body were investigated and simulation techniques of the dehumidification system were developed. De-misting at 5 degrees below freezing point could be attained.
