## Abstract For several years, Cr^IV^ compounds were used as effective and inexpensive corrosion inhibitors. Studies showed that these materials were toxic and carcinogenic. This has led to extensive research to develop alternative inhibitors. Organo‐silicate hybrid coatings appeared as an effectiv
