Neutron supermirrors have become important devices for transporting, bending and focusing a neutron beam. We have developed neutron supermirrors by using an ion beam sputtering (IBS) instrument since it enables the production of layers with high quality and density and small grain size. An ion polis

We have succeeded in fabricating high-reflectivity and small d-spacing which are 5.7 and 7:0 nm NiC/Ti multilayer neutron monochromators using ion beam sputtering technique. The reflectivities of these monochromators with d ΒΌ 5:7 and 7:0 nm are 0.81 and 0.91, respectively.
