โœฆ Synopsis

To stabilize water level in flash evaporators, flashing model is discussed and a flow model of two phase flashing flow is established. This model is applied to the flow in the box type orifice, in qood accordance with the calculated results and the experjmental data. A-parameter survey of water level in actual plant shows the water level control may be stable.

The weir type orifice is widely used as an interstage sealing device of an MSF evaporator and as a flow regulating device of brine and distillate flows. The existing flow model for a weir type orifice is described simply as an orifice without any consideration to weir hydraulic characteristics. Th

## Abstract A variety of methods and models have been proposed in the literature for sizing relief valves for twoโ€phase flow applications. A typical application involves liquids which flash during discharge as the pressure drops. The predictions from these various methods can vary greatly under suc

A model is presented which predicts the chip flow direction in turning operations with nose radius tools under oblique cutting conditions. Only the tool cutting edge geometry and the cutting conditions (feed and depth of cut) are required to implement the model. An experimental study has verified th
