This article describes the continuous on-line monitoring of a dechlorination process by a novel attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) sensor. This optical sensor was developed to measure noninvasively part-per-million (ppm) concentrations of trichloroethylene (TCE), tetra
