Abstract

Occupational science, the study of people as occupational beings, provides the impetus to review occupational therapy practice and education in a new light. In this article personal reflections grounded in Australasian experience suggest the benefits of developing simple but generic personal, professional and educational philosophies which are complementary to one another and founded on the notion of ‘occupation for health’.
