โœฆ Synopsis

In order to measure the quantity of dew droplets deposited on a metal surface in a dewpoint hygrometer more correctly, shapes of dew droplets deposited on a mirror surface of the copper plate were measured with an interference microscope that used phase-shifting techniques. The mass of a dew droplet deposited, total mass per unit area and the deposit velocities of dew droplets per unit area and time were measured under different wind velocities. The mass transfer coefficients were also estimated from the deposit velocities of the dew droplets deposited on the surface.

For railway industry, the management of finished dimensional accuracy and traceability of concrete sleepers production has become an important issue. A fast stereometric system has been developed to measure free-form surfaces of railway concrete sleepers and calculate track and rail seat dimensional
