## Abstract A compact MRI system for measuring the trabecular bone (TB) microstructure of the finger using a highโfieldโstrength (1.0T) permanent magnet was developed. The entire system was installed in a 0.6 m ร 1.2 m space. One male and 36 female subjects participated in the imaging experiments.

A compact MRI system for measuring trabecular bone volume fraction (TBVF) of the calcaneus was developed with the use of a 0.21 T permanent magnet and portable MRI console. The entire system weighed < 600 kg and was installed in a 2 m ุ 2 m space. Two cross-sectional spin-echo images of a heel acqui
## Abstract A compact MRI system for trabecular bone (TB) microstructure measurements of the distal radius was developed using a 1.0 T permanent magnet and a compact MRI console. TB microstructure of the distal radius was clearly visualized using a threeโdimensional (3D) driven equilibrium spinโech
Trabecular bone volume fraction (TBVF) and speed of sound (SOS) were measured for the right calcanei of 416 female volunteers. The TBVF was measured with a compact MRI developed in our laboratory. The SOS was measured with a commercial quantitative ultrasound system. It was observed that the correla
A new method to track the deformation of the trabecular structure in a human bone, which determines the dynamic characteristics of bone, was developed using elastic matching. This is a kind of image analysis. By comparing two 3-D images of the same bone taken at different times, this method computes
A novel probe was developed to measure drug association with the F1\*S variant of the human serum protein alpha 1-acid glycoprotein (AGP). The molecule 2hydroxy-3,5-diiodo-N-[2(diethylamino)ethyl]benzamide (DEDIC) binds to AGP, quenching its native ยฏuorescence. This quenching was ยฎtted to a two-site
