## Abstract A novel stability‐indicating high‐performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was developed and validated for assay and determination of impurities of emtricitabine in drug substance. Emtricitabine was found to be degraded under acidic, alkaline, and oxidative stress conditions and
