β¦ Synopsis
Ceramic fibre waste generated during the production of ceramic fibres has been utilized for the development of laminates. The effect of resin to fibre ratio, concentration of catalyst and comonomer and process parameters have been studied. Various physicomechanical properties of the laminates have been determined and comparative evaluation with commercially available fibre glass decorative laminates and gypsum board has been done. Keeping in view the possible applications of laminates , fire retardancy and antistatic properties have also been studied.
