โœฆ Synopsis

Developing a laser safety program

As the use of lasers becomes more prevalent in the workplace, the importance of a comprehensive laser safety program continues to increase. As safety professionals, we may be tasked with investigating the need for a laser safety program and if necessary, developing a program. While the structure of a laser safety program will vary with the needs of the institution, there are some common themes that should be explored to determine if they are applicable to a particular program. Additionally, several potential obstacles to program development should be investigated in order to develop methods of solving or avoiding problems.
