Among arthropods, Cirripedia (barnacles) are remarkable in that they completely lack abdominal segments. This feature prompted us to study the Hox genes of three cirripede species, representing a wide array of the diversity of these organisms, a segmented sessile barnacle, Elminius modestus (Thoraci
