This paper presents an algorithm determining the invertibility of any planar, triangular auadratic isouarametric finite element transformation.

Extensions of the algorithm to three-dimensibnal isoparametric finite element transformations yield guarantee invertibility of lo-node tetrahedra and g-node bricks.
