A dfierentlal-pulse polarographlc procedure IS described for the determmatlon of lmpuntles such as dusooctyl maleate and maleic acid m pharmaceutxal products The concentration range for dnsooctyl maleate IS 1 x 10-6-30 X 10m6 pg ml-' and the detection hnut IS 0 2 pg ml-', for maleic acid the detection hnut 1s 0 15 pg ml-' It IS possible to determme very low concentrations of malelc acid m the presence of fumanc acid by a preseparatlon by dissolution m water, m wluch fumanc acid dissolves to only a small extent
