In this work the charm and bottom quark masses are determined from QCD moment sum rules for the charmonium and upsilon systems. In our analysis we include both the results from non-relativistic QCD and perturbation theory at next-next-to-leading order. For the pole masses we obtain M, = 1.75 f 0.15
Using the O(a) Symanzik improved action an estimate is given for the strange quark mass for unquenched (n f = 2) QCD. The determination is via the axial Ward identity (AWI) and includes a non-perturbative evaluation of the renormalisation constant. Numerical results have been obtained at several lat
