β¦ Synopsis
The analysis and synthesis of conformal printed antennas on ellipsoidal structures are in¨estigated. The originality comes from the use of a computer algebra system to generate the polynomial expression of the zeros of the characteristic equations. Fast and accurate expressions for the resonance frequency are gi¨en for an ellipsoidal radiating element operating in the TM mode.

A new and simple dynamic permittivity expression for the circular disk microstrip structure including air gap is determined and used in the resonant frequency calculation. The formulation provides the best fit with the experiments for fundamental and higher order modes. The proposed dynamic permitti
