Letters to the Editor

The aim of this work is to determine the thermal expansion coefficient (a) of mono and polycrystalline graphite at low temperature. We think that the absence of a data in this temperature range is related to the weak sensitivity of the methods used and the difficulty in getting long samples. The temperature dependence for mono and polycrystalline, pyrolitic graphite in the temperature interval 4-30 K is shown in Figure 1. Curve 1 is atIc, curve 2 is a ale and curve 3 is ap.
