An LizC0s/Na2C03/KzCOJ eutectic melt has been taken as a typical example of a molten carbonate system, and the dissolution behaviour of the oxides of nickel and copper in the melt have been investigated at 873 K. The solubility products of CuO and NiO in the melt have been estimated to be 8.9 X lo-'
