β¦ Synopsis
AIlStraCt An accurate and rapid method for determining the diffusion coefficients of electrochemically active gases in electrolytes is described. The technique is based on chronoamperometry where transient currents are measured and interpreted with a Cottrell-related equation. The diffusion coefficients of oxygen were determined for NaCl solutions varying from 0.085 to 0.846 M within the temperature range 2040Β°C. A relationship for the diffusion coefficient of oxygen as a function of temperature is given for the several NaCl concentrations.

## Abstract In chemical engineering applications involving solvent removal from a concentrated polymer solution where diffusion is the governing process (e.g. dry spinning of synthetic silkβlike fibres), the determination of the concentrationβdependent diffusion coefficient is essential. Diffusion
A method is described for determining the diffusion coefficients of small solutes in limited volumes (approximately equal to 4-9 ml) of fluid. Diffusion is measured in a three-chamber diffusion cell across a central unstirred compartment. Compartments are separated by nitrocellulose membranes. The i
