β¦ Synopsis
The Lorenz curve, well-utilized in economics for income study and modelling, has seen recent application in several other domains as well. ln this article, assuming a Beta underlying distribution, a method is presented to derive the parameters of that distribution, from its given sample or population Lorenz curve. Simulation results and a numerical example are also provided.
