✦ Synopsis

Experimental excess adsorption isotherms of nitrogen on activated carbon were measured in the range of 103-298 K and pressures up to 10 MPa. A method for determining the volume of the adsorbed phase from the experimental data for the supercritical temperatures was proposed. Such a volume with a new isotherm equation was used in modeling experimental excess isotherms, and a satisfactory fit was achieved.
