An analytical method is presented which permits trace level determination of 17alpha-ethynylestradiol (EE2), 17beta-estradiol (E2), and estrone (E1). Using this method, the estrogenic steroids were analyzed in drinking water, surface water, and wastewater (sewage influents and effluents) at concentr
Although the estrogenic hormones 17 beta-estradiol and 17 alpha-ethinyl estradiol can be quantified in polluted waters by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and gas chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (GC/MS/MS), the compounds often are present at concentrations below detection limits.
The ratios of metabolite concentrations to parent compound concentrations were calculated for deethylterbuthylazine to terbuthylazine ( D T R ) and deethylatrazine to atrazine (DAR). In rain water, D T R of 0.8 ... 3.0 and DAR of 0.3 ... 1.9 were determined with mean values of 0.9 ... 1.7 for D T R
## Abstract The gas chromatography/mass spectrometric assay method was developed for the determination of 13 nonโsteroidal antiโinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in river water. Extraction was achieved by a liquidโphase extraction procedure using methylene chloride. The extract was reacted for 30โmin at
