## Abstract This paper explores the potential for documenting regional fields of surface energy fluxes over the Tibetan plateau using published algorithms and previously calibrated empirical formulae with data from NOAAβ14 AVHRR and atmospheric data collected during the GAMEβTibet field experiment.

The 'force-restore' approach is commonly used in order to calculate the surface temperature in atmospheric models. A critical point in this method is how to calculate the deep soil temperature which appears in the restore term of the 'force-restore' equation. If the prognostic equation for calculati
The present analysis accounts for combined convective and radiant heat transfer to a fluid flowing in a short tube with prescribed wall heat flux. The heat flux distribution used was of sine shape with maximum at the middle of the tube. This solution is known to represent the axial power variation
