## Abstract An isotope dilution procedure using ^185^W has been developed for the determination of tungsten in high alloy steels. Tungsten is determined spectrophotometrically with hydroquinone in sulphuric acid medium, after homogeneous precipitation from a nitric acid‐hydrogen peroxide solution.
