✦ Synopsis
Traces of 10 nitrobenzenes in environmental samples such as river water, sediment and fish were determined by capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) involving liquid-liquid extraction, steam distillation and column clean up procedures. The nitrobenzenes could be determined in water within the range 0.3-0.9 ng/ml with relative standard deviations (R.S.D.s) of l.O-6.9%. The detection limits of the nitrobenzenes in water, sediment and fish samples were 0.12-0.23 ng/ml, 1.9-10.9 rig/g and 2.0-8.1 rig/g,, respectively. Their recoveries from river water, sea water, sediment and fish samples were 86-133%, 87-133%, 87-111% and 61-137% with R.S.D.s of 1.3-3.8%, 0.3-3.8%, 2.4-12.5% and 2.0-16.9%, respectively.

## Abstract The gas chromatography/mass spectrometric assay method was developed for the determination of 13 non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in river water. Extraction was achieved by a liquid‐phase extraction procedure using methylene chloride. The extract was reacted for 30 min at
## Abstract In the present work, a method was developed and optimized aiming at the determination of anatoxin‐__a__ in environmental water samples. The method is based on the direct derivatization of the analyte by adding hexylchloroformate in the alkalinized sample (pH = 9.0). The derivatized anat
