The present paper describes the construction and behaviour of a mixed binder carbon paste electrode (MBCPE) containing dimethylglyoxime (DMG) system appropriate for the cathodic stripping voltammetric determination of mercury(U), cobalt(U), nickel(I1) and palladium(I1). The mixed binder consisted of
