β¦ Synopsis
Numerous modifications of the volumetric estimation of zinc with potassium ferrocyanide have been described l'z. The procedure is entirely empirical in its practical application and whatever the end point detection system, a false end point is frequently observed. Cations (Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni, As, Co, Sb, Ag, A1, Pb, Cd) that form insoluble precipitates or complexes interfere. High-frequency methods are particularly advantageous in precipitation titrations and they have been used extensively at high dilutions. The present work reports on the titration of solutions of zinc salts with potassium ferrocyanide in very dilute solutions using this method.

## Abstract In pH 1.0 acidic medium, doubleβcharged triaminotriphenylmethane dyes such as methyl green (MeG) and iodine green (IG) react with potassium ferrocyanide to form 2:1 ionβassociation complexes by virtue of electrostatic forces and hydrophobic interaction. It results in the change of absor
