Apparent kinetic constants of the reversible opening of a triazolo-1,4-thienodiazepine were determined by UV-spectrophotometry and by polarography in water at several pH values assuming as a hypothesis a stationary state for the carbinolamine intermediate. Both the apparent kinetic constants, k f an

Abstract
^1^H and ^13^C chemical shift parameters are given for 4βpiperidones and their derivatives in buffered aqueous solution. The ^13^C shift increments of methyl substituents on the nitrogen atom are discussed. The pHβshift dependence is studied in detail and p__K__~a~ values are given for ketone forms and hydration products. The hydration equilibria are measured as a function of pH and temperature.
