✦ Synopsis

The element content of the snow at one of the central regions of the European part of the U.S.S.R. was studied by means of atomic absorption analysis. The distribution of various elements, including heavy metals, between liquid and solid phases is reported. The deposition rate of heavy metals on the soils of the forest-steppe zone has been calculated.
