Retacel [chlormequat, 2-chloroethyltrunethylammomum chloride, chlorochohne chlonde (CCC)] LS used m agnculture m aqueous solution In such solutions, the 2-chloroethyltnmethylammon~um cation can be determmed by potentiometnc titration usmg sodmm tetraphenylborate and a snnple coated-wrre plastic membrane electrode At lower concentration levels, the preparatton was analysed by capdlary IsotachophoresB usmg sodmm acetate as the leadmg electrolyte and 6-ammocaprolc acid as the termmator m a medium buffered to pH 4 5 mth cltnc acid To determme the CCC conccntratlon, a cahbration graph was used AdsorptIon of Retacel on sand and sod was also studled and the result indicated that the contammation of ground water 1s hardly possible
