โœฆ Synopsis

The motion ol Abrikosov vortices from one pinning center to another by the impact of both n-particles and ~-rays on a superconducting film is observed with the aid of the Josephson tunnel junction. This motion is explained on the basis of a heating model of the interaction of ~-particles and ~-rays with superconducting film. The Josephson tunnel junction with trapped A-vortices is put forward as a new type of nuclear radiation detector.

The development of an experimental set-up for radiation detection at T = 0.4 K by Nb-based Superconducting Tunnel Junctions is presented. Preliminary results concerning detectors characterization and 6 keV X ray detection are shown and discussed.
