✦ Synopsis

The growth of 17 sets of twins was evaluated at 2 to 3 week intervals from 15 weeks to delivery by measurement of the head circumference, abdominal circumference, and thigh circumference, and estimation of weight. The birth characteristics of these twins were compared to those predicted by Rossavik growth models, derived from second-trimester ultrasound measurements, using the Growth Potential Realization Index (GPRI) and by comparison to population standards. Newborns were

Second-and third-trimester growth in 34 twin fetuses was evaluated with ultrasonography by measurement of five anatomic parameters. Rossavik growth models, derived from second-trimester measurements, were used to specify expected thirdtrimester growth curves. Actual measurements were compared to pre

Objective: We sought to evaluate the growth status of twins at birth using individualized growth assessment methods and to compare this assessment with that obtained with conventional methods. Study design: Twenty twin pregnancies were studied longitudinally with ultrasound. Measurements of the hea

Objective: To determine if the growth status at birth of twins can be predicted in the third trimester using the Prenatal Growth Assessment Score (PGAS). Methods: The growth of 40 twin fetuses were studied with ultrasound from 14 weeks until delivery. Measurements of the head circumference (HC), ab

## Abstract This review discusses the problem of detecting intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) with ultrasound. A new procedure for standardizing the reporting of such studies is presented. Using this standard format, the results obtained by various investigators using a variety of parameters ar

## Abstract In groups of normally growing singletons (20), twins (20), and triplets (13), predicted femur diaphysis length (FDL) values at birth were obtained using Rossavik growth models specified from second‐trimester ultrasound studies of fetal growth. Six previously published functions were uti
