✦ Synopsis

The rotational constants, centrifugal distortion constants and nuclear quadrnpole coupling constants were determined for the H"B0 and H'OBO species produced in the reaction of diborane with oxygen in a dc discharge plasma. The rotational transitions in the excited vibrational states, v,, v2, 215 and v,, were also observed for H"B0 and H'OBO. The structure was determined as rc( H-B) = 1.168 l(l0) A and r,(B-0) = 1.2004( 3) 8, with estimated incertainties in parentheses.
