## Abstract A simple and efficient technique to achieve stable multiwavelength laser operation at room temperatures with the use of an ellipticalβcore erbiumβdoped fiber is proposed and demonstrated. The results give a maximum of five simultaneous laser lines in the L band. A polarization controlle
